In order to be transparent in the work the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Queer Issues is conducting, we will provide regular updates regarding our priorities. We recognize there are far more issues than any one committee can address in a year, but we will do our best to tackle as many topics and issues as possible. Each year, we will identify our priorities for the year. The priorities may be a continuation from the previous year or entirely new ones. We identify the issues based on the topics, incidents and concerns brought to the committee’s attention by the UC Merced community. Additionally, we provide biyearly updates, in January and June.

CACQI (and others) are advocating and working on the implementation of the Gender Recognition and Lived Name Policy on the Merced campus.
